This class is for anyone looking to enter the world of stand-up comedy. By no means is this an ultimate, end-all guide, this is only the start of your journey. The world of stand-up comedy can be an intimidating one, especially to those without experience. This six week course will take a realistic and pragmatic approach to the craft taught in a friendly and supportive environment to give you the tools to start your journey!

The Complete Beginners Course to Stand-up Comedy is a six week course that will run every Tuesday evenings, September 13th - October 18th, between 7-9pm.

Elyott Ryan is a rising young comedian from Victoria, BC and one of the veterans in the scene. Over the past 8 years Elyott has consistently performed multiple times a week all throughout Vancouver Island and the lower mainland. His first comedic childhood memory is doing a spot on Popeye impression for any Subway employees that would listen. Since then he’s produced multiple open mics and countless booked shows. His comedy extracts the funny out of his life, work, and being a father. He recently performed at the 22nd Annual FunnyFest Comedy Festival.
